Love in Spanish
In Barcelona, Cataluña, Spain.
I love the love in Barcelona. I like how the newspaper always calls me “mi amor” and I like that the ladies at the croissanteria comforted me when I started crying randomly yesterday. I like that the florists in La Rambla give me flowers. I like that there are young couples dancing on the pier like they just don’t care. I like the old couples who stroll in the park, holding each others hands and gazing into each others eyes as if they were lovedrunk teenagers.. ”Män som hatar kvinnor” is a Swedish book that has been translated into the English language as “The girl with the dragon tattoo”. The original title means “Men who hate women”. But in Spain - it has been translated into ”Los hombres que no amaban a las mujeres” The men who don’t love women. As if you can’t hate in Spain. Just – not love.
