Douglas and Filip strolling.Saturday morning I remembered I forgot my camera at Emilia’s and since she was leaving for France while I was packing for Erikssund – none of us had time to get me the camera. With my trusty iPhone 4 I still managed to capture some of the beauty of the weekend at Filip’s brothers place.
Matjesill, eggs and even more eggs with fishegg on them.
As soon as we got there I got a quick tour of the first floor, the room where Filip and I would be staying. After some champagne, snaps and lunch we went for a walk by the lake where we saw two eagles that were impossible to catch on camera and petted the mares in the stables.

Snow and sunset
Come sunset we played pool on the upperfloor and I won. I feel it important to note that I won.

We ate in the oldest room in the house. The room had previously been King Eriks old dining room after a good hunt or something like that. The details of which royalty had sat there some fivehundred years ago were fuzzy. After a delicious salmon dinner we ended the night with a game filled with trivia about world history.

Home again. I looked at two apartments at Västmannagatan, one at Knight Street and one at the Karl mountain road. Ideally, somewhere in Vasastan, but mini-apartments in town are nice too. Loft Beds may not be very airy, but I probably need no more than 20 square meters. As it stands right now it’s not really urgent that I move, but it’s fun to dream.

The Aura is a more family-oriented hotel of the Sirenis Hotels with ginormous rooms overlooking the ocean in cute Spanish houses. Here’s also where we went to the waterpark Sirenis Aquaqames! After that, we showered and had an awesome Teppanyaki-dinner with Filips papi served by Juan Carlos

In Ibiza, Balearic Islands, Spain.

Filip and I stayed at the first-floor premium room where we could watch the sunrise above the ocean from our jacuzzi. Massageshower, deluxe-bed, all-inclusive meals and open bar. On our arrival night an ice bucket with a bottle of cava was waiting for us on the counter.

For lunch and dinner I’d eat all the sorbets & Ice creams I wanted, breakfast was included but we always overlept. During the days we’d either go down to the beach or to the ginourmous pool area crossing over to the sister-hotel of Sirenis Hotels called Tres Carabelas with complimentary piña coladas. There was also a nice spa-are that we never got to haha

We met a nice family on our field-trip to the Coop Farms. The main mother of the family (the guy had four wives) showed us around. We fed goats, played with the kids and chilled in their houses.

A nice and cozy room at the airport when waiting for your connecting flight that has been delayed. Cost per night? ~800 Swiss Franc.

To re-write this into English wouldn’t do the text justice. Also – I’m feeling lazy.
Mamma snarkar. Tiden i Stockholm rinner ut snart.

We arrived in Mombasa City after dark and not on the South Coast mid-day as the bus Company T.S.S. Express had promised. Two bare-skinned girls stepping out into the very conservative muslim city that never sleeps. Street kids begging for money, matatudrivers trying to get customers into their vans and everyone trying to sell us something. Now this had been fine in Nairobi, except now we were too tired and too stressed about where to sleep to handle it.

In a moment of clarity Jo decides that we shouldn’t try to get into the white vans and hitch a ride to the South Coast after dark. So we sleep at the overpriced Castle Royal Hotel.
After breakfast I hustle with some people and fix everything that went wrong the other day. Finding us a hotel at half the price and rides to and from the hotel all the way to Nairobi.
We arrive at the gorgeous hotel. The reception has gorgeous arabic relaxing chairs. We are escorted to our rooms by a masaai. An enormous queen-size bed and the room even smells nice.
Our view is of a whole family of monkeys.

Epic.

The beach is a two minute walk away and just outside the hotel is a nice lounge place with pool tables and a big screen for footie games – happiness.
