After 5 years. Chuck has ended. The scene I remember most ’til this day is when Chuck announces he’s got a date. And then commences the sexiest preparation of a date ever à la Sarah Walker. The whole segment is perfected with “Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is” by Jet.
Where was I when I first saw Chuck? September 2007… I was 13 years old (remember I was born in late December). I was in the eighth grade in KS Täby. I sold goods out my locker, acting with my young business mind. I learned to tell the time in German. I was still heavily infatuated with the tall blonde boy who – in retrospect – might have been a Nazi-wannabe. I heard he mixes shrooms with other psychedelics nowadays… So happy nothing transpired there 🙂 I was also really into “A New Earth” by Eckhart Tolle. And I listened my ears off to “Chop Suey” by SOAD.
And then there was Chuck.
The martial arts, the gymnastics, the traveling and oh – the languages. ANY production that had that amount of cool languages and computers had my heart at the time. And I still love Chuck. Although Jeffster was probably what made the show. Does any other show have women give birth to Salt N Pepa’s “Push It”. It was just the perfect fit “ooh baby baby baby” – literally babies. Ah, shizzle I’m going to miss Chuck so much. The music, the nerd herd, the intersect, the frustrated noises made by John Casey and the parodies of all spy-movies out there.
“Charles Carmichael always comes early”.
And now the end came too early.
