How memory helps

Vocabulary is the part of a language that memory techniques fix outright. A word becomes an image, the image goes somewhere you can find it, and the word is yours by the end of the day. Grammar and accent still take time, but the wall most people hit, the endless flashcards, comes down fast. [One concrete example: a language learned, how many words, how quickly.]
